Silja’s old best friend, Ann, has been missing for 19 years, ever since she vanished on her way home from a party. The village’s trauma is brutally reawakened when Ann’s body is found in a barrel on an abandoned farm.
The investigation stirs up old secrets, and unrest spreads through the village. For Silja the case becomes deeply personal, and some people would rather see her off it. The closer she gets to the truth, the more dangerous the hunt for the killer becomes. Could it be someone she knows?
Book 2, “Selv om himmelen faller”, opens with two people shot by a Christmas tree – on Christmas Eve itself. Just like that, the holiday peace is over for Silja Frost.
The victims are well-known figures who shaped Oslo’s nightlife with power, money and drugs. Silja quickly realizes the murders must be about revenge. But revenge for what? Together with colleagues from Kripos and Hønefoss police station, she begins a nerve-racking hunt for answers, and the investigation digs up closely guarded secrets…
The book is out now in Norwegian, in all online bookstores and on the shelves at Ark and Norli.

My debut novel about police officer Silja Frost, “Det du eier evig”, was published by Gyldendal in 2024.
With this book I stepped into a new and exciting world – full of learning, challenges and things I never expected.
“Det du eier evig” is the first book in the series: an intense, psychological crime novel in which a missing-person case in Ringerike forces Silja to face both old leads and new threats.
It opens with a body found in a barrel on an abandoned farm – a brutal discovery that puts Silja on the trail of secrets someone will do anything to keep hidden.

Book 2 in the Silja Frost series
The book builds on the world from my debut and explores both Silja’s inner struggle and the demanding leads she has to follow. For me as a writer, it was a chance to go deeper into the characters, the places and the moral dilemmas that drive the series forward.
Den sista vilan –
Book 1 in the Silja Frost series (Swedish)
“Den sista vilan” is the Swedish edition of “Det du eier evig”. The rights were bought by Modernista in 2024.
For me it was a wonderful surprise – and a chance to introduce Silja Frost to a whole new audience.
It’s inspiring to see the story come alive in Swedish and to know the series is finding its way to more readers.
The book is beautifully translated by Elisabet and Gabriel Setterborg, who have done a fantastic job of keeping its soul and message in Swedish.
