About the Silja Frost series

Meet detective Silja Frost in the new crime series from Gyldendal. Set in Ringerike and Hole, where beautiful nature hides many dark secrets.

In the first book, "What You Own Forever," Silja is forced back home. When a body is found, she faces dangerous truths as old friends and flames make it all personal.

In the sequel "Even If the Sky Falls," holiday peace is broken. Two men are found killed by a Christmas tree in a remote house, and Silja faces a case of revenge, misuse of power, and a past she can't escape.

Review of

"Even if the sky falls"

The criminal book world

April 2026

“I appreciate wise books with deeper meaning and this one is an insider. Really looking forward to the next book in the series and can't wait to follow Øen further. There is enormous potential in this lady. Highly recommend. 😊"

"Selv om himmelen faller"

Join Silja Frost as she hunts for a truth that was never meant to see the light of day.

It’s Christmas Eve, but for Silja Frost the holiday is anything but peaceful. Two powerful men are found murdered beside a Christmas tree in a remote cabin, and the glittering façade of Oslo’s elite begins to crack.

In the depths of winter, Silja must dig into dark secrets and motives for revenge that draw her closer to her own past than she ever expected.

Published by Gyldendal in March 2026 – No. 10 on the national bestseller list after just 3 weeks, and No. 8 after 5 weeks!

Det du eier evig

Book 1 in the Silja Frost series

My debut novel about police investigator Silja Frost, “Det du eier evig”, was published by Gyldendal in 2024.

With this book, I stepped into a new and exciting world—full of learning, challenges, and unexpected experiences.

“Det du eier evig” is the first book in the Silja Frost series—an intense and psychological crime novel in which a missing‑person case in Ringerike forces Silja Frost to confront both old clues and new threats.

The story opens with a body found in a barrel on an abandoned farm—a brutal discovery that sets Silja on the trail of secrets someone will do anything to keep hidden.

Selv om himmelen faller
Bok 2 in the Silja Frosts series

“Selv om himmelen faller” is the second book in the Silja Frost series — a psychological and atmospheric crime novel set in the forests of Ringerike.

In this story, we follow police investigator Silja Frost as she is drawn into a case that uncovers abuse of power, revenge, and dark secrets that refuse to stay buried.

The book builds on the universe established in the debut novel and explores both Silja’s inner struggle and the demanding clues she must follow. For me as the author, working on this story has been an opportunity to delve deeper into the characters, the environments, and the ethical dilemmas that drive the series forward.

Den sista vilan -
Book 1 in the Silja Frost series (Swedish)

"Den sista vilan" is the Swedish edition of "Det du eier evig" and was purchased by Modernista forlag in 2024.

For me, this was an incredibly pleasant surprise – and an opportunity to reach a new audience with the Silja Frost universe.

It is inspiring to see the story come to life in Swedish and to know that the series is now finding its way to more readers.

The edition is beautifully translated by the talented team of Elisabet and Gabriel Setterborg. They have done a fantastic job of preserving the soul and message of the book in Swedish.
