Møt Silja Frost
Meet detective Silja Frost in the new crime series from Gyldendal. Set in Ringerike and Hole, where beautiful nature hides many dark secrets.
In the first book, "What You Own Forever," Silja is forced back home. When a body is found, she faces dangerous truths as old friends and flames make it all personal.
In the sequel "Even If the Sky Falls," holiday peace is broken. Two men are found killed by a Christmas tree in a remote house, and Silja faces a case of revenge, misuse of power, and a past she can't escape.
"What Yours to Keep"
Part one of the Silja Frost crime series
Silja's old best friend, Ann, has been missing for 19 years after vanishing on her way home from a party. The village's trauma is brutally reawakened when Ann's body is found in a barrel on an abandoned farm.
The investigation stirs up old secrets, and the village fills with unrest. For Silja, the case becomes deeply personal, and she faces resistance from those who want her removed from the investigation.
The closer she gets to the truth, the more dangerous the hunt for the killer becomes. Could it be someone she knows?

Published in Norwegian in 2024
My debut novel about police investigator Silja Frost, "What Yours to Keep," was published by Gyldendal Forlag in 2024.
With the book's release, I've stepped into a new and exciting world. It's a world brimming with fresh
experiences, challenges, and a steep learning curve!
There are many unexplored paths ahead, but what truly drives me is my deep passion for writing. It's the burning joy of creating new worlds and developing characters.
Published by Gyldendal in Feb. 2026!
"Even If the Sky Falls" is the second book in the series about police investigator Silja Frost.
Silja has lived in my head for a long time, so it feels special to share her journey with all of you. It’s also been so exciting to see how she grows and develops as a person.
This time around, the story takes place on Christmas Eve. But there won't be much holiday peace—two men are found tied up and shot by a Christmas tree.
Published in Swedish in 2025
"What's Your to Keep" was acquired by Modernista Forlag in Sweden in 2024 and then published in May 2025.
This marks an exciting milestone for the book, as it now has the opportunity to reach a new audience in our neighboring country.
The edition has been beautifully translated by the talented team of Elisabet Setterborg and Gabriel Setterborg, who have done a fantastic job of preserving the book's soul and message in Swedish.
The book was titled "Den sista vilan" – a title I really like!
“Evil is unspectacular and always human, and shares our bed
and eats at our own table”.
